I went for Bedok View's concert yesterday. Twas a concert combined by all their various performing arts. The performance i preferred was the drama and the band performance. Their drama was a twist of a fairytale and it's very corny. That's why I exceptionally like it. Both the leading actress were really good.
For the band performance, I was quite amazed. They have a seriously HUGE band. Huge as in almost about the size of our band but theirs is a concert band that's why I was amazed. Their music is good but as a performance, it's not as creative as DMB. The last song they played should be favourited -instant concert- It's a combination of many cute songs which you surely must have at least heard 3/4 of, before. Maybe because it's the last song that's why the performers played it in a very relax way and the audience really can enjoy it. If not, the rest of the songs were quite tense.
They also have a drum troupe and I think they were performing the Taiko drums. Didn't catch much of my attention although I was highly anticipating for something cool to learn. I think Nigel should join them because he used to be a 'TOUGH' kid.
On my way home, on the MRT, there was another free performance. Have yall ever watch enchanted? The whoever just starts singing in public and everyone starts singing with her. The bollywood show is another good example. The main lead just starts singing and everyone sing and dance along to it. Yeah, you might have guessed it, a middle age Indian man boarded the train and started singing out loud. The whole MRT of passengers was looking at him and that of course included me. Some people wondered who he was but actually he was another passenger who just randomly started singing. In bollywood shows, music will surely accompany the singings. This man too had music. He sang everything, the music intervals, the lyrics, EVERYTHING! I think he was expecting things to happen like on TV where everybody starts joining him. Frankly, he could sing well. It's just that it's not the right place to sing. In the end, when we reached the last station, he approached another Indian man who obviously, from his expression, don't know him too, and they shaked hands and talked abit. Then we alighted and he sang on the escalator too.
So this man was abit weird but sometimes, I do imagine myself doing things like this too. I know it's just wishful thinking that's why I have never done it. I'm so proud of that guy!
I went for Breakfast At Tiffany's @ 5:05 PM
